How can you exchange big files?
Exchanging files with the helpdesk can be done by e-mail to support@savaco.com. For larger files it’s preferred to work with our FTP-server. Here you find a brief explanation how to use this.
Below we explain how you can secure critical information by using a ZIP-file with a password
When you place a file in the pub-directory of our FTP-server, it is temporary visible for all SAVACO-customers.
From the moment that you inform our helpdesk about the name of the file, our support department will remove this file and replace it to an internal zone that is not reachable for our customers, within 8 working hours. But in the mean time your file can be downloaded from our FTP-server by other customers.
Therefore we advise you to give the file a name in which your company name isn’t recognizable. When the dates in your file are confidential, we advise you to protect this file with a password (f.e. with the use of Winzip).
Use of FTP-server
Open Windows Explorer (or Internet Explorer 6 and previous versions) and type ftp.savaco.com in the address balk.
Fill in the following dates :
User name: customer
Password: support

Move your file to the pub-directory

Agreements about secured ZIP-file
Zip the file you want to place on the FTP-site.
Open WinZip and go to Options>Password.

Fill in a valid password. A good password exists of capital letters, small letters, numbers, and not of accents or other symbols.

Mail this password to the responsible helpdesk engineer or to support@savaco.com.
The name of the zip-file must look as following :
- If the file is about a specific call: CALL-ID.zip
- In all other cases : Datum.zip
