Carl SAbbe and Rik VAndemoortele
founded SAVACO February 4th 1991. They both graduated as Civil Engineer
Computer sciences at the KUL, followed by 5 years of professional experience
at machine constructor LVD in Gullegem.
During
the first four years, the company was accommodated in the
Bedrijvencentrum in Wevelgem. From the
beginning, a loyal partnership with Hewlett Packard (HP) and the Mechanical
Design Division (MDD) of HP was started. The expertise in the first years
was focused on CAD applications (ME10/30) and Unix networks.

In 1995
SAVACO moved to a brand new office in the Kennedypark in Kortrijk, with a
capacity for over 20 employees and a total of built on surface of 650m².
In 1996 SAVACO celebrates its five-year’s existence,
linked to the opening of the new office in presence of the Secretary of
Justice Stefaan De Clerck. In the same year, the young technology company is
honoured with a visit of Prince Filip of Belgium. On pure professional
level, the MDD division of HP is renamed CoCreate and SAVACO becomes
the only Belgian Premier Partner. On IT level, Microsoft recognizes
SAVACO as Certified Solution Provider.
In the year 1998 SAVACO becomes Connect/Select
Partner of HP for Unix Business servers and workstations, NT servers and
workstations and network applications.

In order to offer the experience about IT
infrastructure, networks and integration to the non-engineering customers as
well, a separate networking division is started in 1999. On January
1st 2000 two separate business units are founded: Engineering Solutions and
Networking Solutions.
To offer a comfortable working place to the growing
population, the offices had to be doubled to 1300m² in 2001, the
tenth year of SAVACO. An extra demoroom and a training room were also
created.
In September 2002, SAVACO expand its engineering
activities with PTC offerings. SAVACO has become the only Certified
Training Partner in Belgium.
