Cloud & Datacenter connectivity

Efficient and manageable

Connectivity is practically the most important building block of your data centre and an indispensable lifeline for your cloud environment. You aim for nothing less than performance, reliability and security, both internally and externally.

Core switching

Savaco's connectivity portfolio for your on-premises data centre includes the most high-performance solutions: from robust and highly available backbone and core switches to monitored public and private WAN connections. Based on our years of experience in building on-premises IT infrastructure, we design the optimal layout for the network connections of your data centre.

Since companies – and networks – are increasingly connected to the outside world, it is also important that networks can be continuously monitored. Savaco therefore always provides the necessary monitoring & management services.

Finally, it is best to be prepared for the worst. The right connection for your redundant IT environment is essential so that in the event of a disaster you can switch to your second data centre with minimal downtime.

Your cloud environment optimally connected

Connectivity is an indispensable lifeline for your cloud environment. You can establish a connection with your workloads in a public cloud like Microsoft Azure via Azure VPN Gateway, a connection over the internet and VPN (Virtual Private Network) that Microsoft offers by default. But there are also other options, such as a point-to-point connection between your location and the Azure datacenter where your servers are running, via Express Route.

The possibilities are increasing rapidly and the complexity is rising. But fear not! Savaco designs the perfect hybrid solution for you and ensures that all components of your hybrid cloud environment - your workloads in the public cloud, your managed private cloud environment and your on-premises infrastructure - are seamlessly connected.

Global connectivity

The right connection for every distance

Organisations are increasingly operating across offices, factories and warehouses at different locations. How you connect to another site of your organisation depends largely on the distance between headquarters and the second location. A Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection is often chosen as the standard for each connection. However, for a short-distance connection (within the Benelux) there are many alternatives: think of a high-speed private connection via the Eurofiber network, MPLS (Multi-Protocol Layer Switching) or a microwave link.

At the same time, setting up an international VPN connection is by no means always a straightforward task. You need to take into account local internet providers and latency issues; and then there is also the so-called 'Great Firewall of China'... For a stable connection over long distances, it is therefore best to also have a good load balancing solution (e.g. Citrix Netscaler and Azure Traffic Manager). Load balancing ensures that users who want to communicate with a particular server are automatically connected to the server that is geographically closest. This way, you avoid overloading certain servers and latency issues due to the long distance.

SD-WAN

Smart technology for a more efficient network

The importance of reliable and affordable connectivity is only increasing: today, companies need to connect to more distributed sites, mobile employees, ... And IT infrastructure today is much more cloud-based than it was perhaps ten years ago. SD-WAN technology provides a response to this evolution and allows companies to organise their network much more efficiently and manage it more easily.

The advantages of SD-WAN are numerous

Combine

SD-WAN makes it possible to combine network solutions from different providers. If one connection fails, SD-WAN ensures that the outside world remains accessible through the remaining connections.

Independence

SD-WAN makes organisations much less dependent on their network provider and ensures a more reliable network.

Cost-effective

Depending on your specific needs, you can, for example, combine a more expensive MPLS connection with a standard internet line, but you can also work solely with different standard internet connections and still have a high-quality connection.
