1. General
This privacy statement is applicable as of 1 December 2022 and emanates from Savaco nv (0442.901.901) and Savaco Holding nv (694.841.385), both with registered offices at 8500 Kortrijk, Beneluxpark 19 (hereinafter jointly referred to as Savaco ).
Savaco makes every effort to protect your privacy. During your contact with Savaco, you may share personal information (such as your full name, e-mail address, address and telephone number) with us so that we can identify you as an individual, employee of a company... These are your ‘personal data’.
This Privacy Statement applies to the personal data we collect about you for the purpose of providing you with our products and services properly and securely. By using the site, visiting Savaco or communicating your personal data to us in our services, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Statement.
2. Processing of personal data
Savaco collects, registers and processes personal data of (potential) clients and users of our services and of (potential) suppliers. Data is for example communicated by individuals themselves when making contact, when purchasing a product or when services are provided by Savaco.
Personal data are always processed in compliance with the principles of privacy legislation and the General Data Protection Regulation, being the European Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data. Personal data shall be processed in a lawful, proper and transparent manner and for a specified and explicit purpose. Data processing is limited to what is necessary and the retention period of personal data is limited to as long as necessary in relation to the realisation of the purposes of the processing. The personal data is adequately secured by means of appropriate technical and organisational measures; Savaco obtained the ISO27001 certificate for this, among others.
Savaco processes your personal data, inter alia, for the following purposes:
- Customer management;
- Information about our professional and social activities, or other topics that may interest you;
- Sending our newsletter and or leaflet;
- To be able to contact you if necessary to perform our services;
- For the further performance of agreements;
- To inform you about changes to our services and products;
- To deliver goods and services to you;
- To handle your payment;
- To comply with legal or regulatory obligations;
- To ensure the safety of customers, employees and company (e.g. Cameras);
- When the legitimate interest of the company requires it;
In the context of these purposes, Savaco may appoint processors/subcontractors who ensure that our services are carried out optimally, these include our suppliers, accountants, lawyers, insurance, administration, independent employees, etc.
Savaco opts for partners who can guarantee the same level of security and confidentiality of your personal data. Personal data will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) unless sufficient guarantees are given in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. Other data is collected in an automated way by ‘cookies’ and other systems/applications that collect information. When visiting our website for the first time, you can choose which cookies you allow. 3. Rights of the data subject

By this means and in the same way, you can also object to the processing of personal data or if you wish to terminate certain communications. Your request will be dealt with as soon as possible.
If there is a data incident that threatens to violate your rights and the protection of your personal data, the supervisory authority will be notified and, in the event of a high risk to your rights and freedoms of natural persons, you will be informed as a data subject.

4.Security and confidentiality
Savaco has developed security measures, adapted on a technical and organisational level, to avoid the destruction, loss, falsification, modification, unauthorised access or erroneous notification to third parties of personal data, as well as any other unauthorised processing of this data. Under no circumstances can Savaco be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from a wrong or illegal use by a third party of the personal data.

5. Use of your data
You guarantee that the data you communicate are correct and complete. Communication of incorrect data or data belonging to third parties may result in the user being denied access, temporarily or permanently, to all or part of Savaco's products and services.
6. Your privacy during Savaco events
During events, it is common for atmospheric or video recordings to be made of attendees. By participating in an event organised by Savaco, you accept the possibility that photographs and other audiovisual material of the event are made on which you are visible. You accept that these images may be used for promotion on the Savaco website or via social media.
If you do not wish to be in a photo/video, you are free to inform the photographer or cameraman during the event. He/she will then take this into account. If Savaco publishes a photo or video with your image and you object to this, you can always contact us via privacy@savaco.com and let us know which photo you would rather no longer see published. We will then take the necessary steps to remove the photo.
At events, you will also receive a list of participants with the name and company name of all participants. With this, we want to make it easier for you to exchange thoughts with the other attendees and get ideas for your organisation. By participating in the event, you therefore give your explicit permission for your name and company name to be included in the list of participants. We hereby emphasise that your name and company name will only be shared with other participants of the event. If you do not wish your name to be included in the list of participants, you can always contact us at privacy@savaco.com.
7. Temporary storage of images from surveillance cameras
Savaco uses cameras in and around the office building to guarantee the safety of its clients, employees and activities. Savaco respects the specific rules that apply to surveillance cameras. If a surveillance camera is present, Savaco lets you know about it with a clearly visible sticker, for example. In addition, Savaco in any case respects the guidelines of the government department IBZ Safety & Prevention ‘besafe’. Image recordings from security cameras in and around Savaco buildings (indicated with a sticker) are generally kept by Savaco for a maximum of one month. In some cases this can be longer:
- If the recorded images are useful for proving actions to prove a (possible) crime or nuisance,
- To prove damage or to identify an offender, disorderly person, witness or victim,
- If someone has exercised their right to inspect, long enough to answer the question.

8. Concerning minors
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data on persons under the age of 16, unless they have parental or guardian consent. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children's (online) activities, in order to avoid collecting data on children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at privacy@savaco.com and we will delete this information.

9. Intellectual property rights
The contents of this site, including brands, logos, drawings, data, product or company names, texts, images, etc. are protected by intellectual rights and belong to Savaco or entitled third parties.
10. General provisions
This Privacy Statement may be amended from time to time. The amendments will automatically become effective after publication.
If, with regard to the processing of personal data, one of the preceding provisions would not be valid, it will be replaced by a provision that approaches the underlying purpose of the proposed provision as much as possible.
Savaco's privacy policy is subject to Belgian law.

The Belgian Authorities (e.g. the Data Protection Authority) and the Belgian courts are competent, to the exclusion of all others, to take cognisance of disputes and complaints that may arise with respect to this declaration or its use or with respect to the processing of personal data. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of the district of West Flanders, Kortrijk division, have jurisdiction.
